old stuffs new look

the vong's are in the process of renovating and decorating their new place and they got a very 80's like sofa set, which they intend to update the look by changing the cushion fabrics. inspired by that, i have decided to change the fabric of my chair myself.. (according to sources, its expensive to get professionals to do the job). i have been using the chair for like 10 yrs??!

should have taken tyre's advice to get plain simple polka dot fabric instead of using this. this piece of fabric looks pretty by itself but on the chair, it looks too cluttered and pretty hideous. too bad, i have already gule it permanently onto the cushion and cant be removed. stoopid me :( it doesnt quite fit my pinkish room but guess will make do. at least its "new" now :D


and the other new thing i had done was to give the old yellowed lamp shade a new loop. i love this mini lamp i have in the cupboard - very cute and quaint looking. it just needs a new coat of white/pink paint and new lampshade and it will be as good as new. here's the before picture and its realli yellowed with brown age spots.
